FAQ

Do I have to bring my own yoga mat and towel?

At The Mat, we provide mats and yoga towels free of charge.

How do I prepare for class?

Arrive well-hydrated, 10-15 minutes before your class to meet the instructor and prepare for your practice. No shoes are allowed in either room, and you have to be prepared to sweat. The rooms are both silent rooms.

Due to the heat and humidity of the room, we encourage you to be mindful of other attendants and leave any fragrances at home.

Knowing that it's a warm room, listen to your body and take as many breaks as you need. Bring water as small sips are encouraged during the class.

Additionally, refreshing showers and eco-friendly Laguna Cyprien products are available post workout, so we encourage you to bring a change of clothes.

What is your waitlist policy?

Don't be late! Classes begin promptly, so make sure to get there on time. We will give up your spot to the waitlist for up to five minutes.

Who is welcome on The Mat?

Every(body) 18 and older, all levels are welcome. If any pre-existing injuries, or cardiovascular problems are present, you must consult with your physician prior to class.

What is the temperature in the room?

Our rooms are warmed by infrared heating panels and will remain at 26-30 degrees celsius during the sessions.

Can I book my class in advance?

Yes, apart from scheduling directly in our studio, you can book your class in advance using our website.

What is your cancellation policy?

You have up to 4 hours before your class to cancel or reschedule; there are no available refunds.

Can I practice on The Mat if I am not feeling well?

Please don't practice with us if you're not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID-19. Additionally, for our community's safety and aside from anyone's beliefs, if you have tested positive for COVID-19, we kindly ask you to stay out of the studio until you have a negative test.
